Police received a 911 call from a man on Cedar Street about a "loud pop" just before 9:15 p.m. on Monday, July 22, a Lakewood Police Department spokesperson said in a news release. The man told police that he saw a black pickup truck driving in the area and a broken bottle in the road.

Officers checked the area but didn't see "any additional cause for concern." About an hour later, police received another call from a different Cedar Street resident who discovered what was believed to be a bullet hole in the doorframe of a second-floor bedroom.

An officer then spotted a black Chevy Silverado about a few blocks away that was believed to be involved. The pickup was seized for further investigation.

Anyone with information about the incident should call Lakewood police at 732-363-0200, ext. 5405.
